Community Links Feed is a WordPress Plugin that allows your site visitors to submit and feature their favorite links to your website or blog. If you want to see it in action, you can just look at the sidebar of this blog and find “Community Links Feed” (also you very welcome to use it, but make sure to not spam, i will delate spam links). The plugin is easy to instal and configure at the wordpress admin panel. Once the visitor submit a link, the submited link appear at your admin dashboard where you can approve or reject it as appropriate. Once approved, the community links feed appears in a customizable sidebar widget. The community links widget is located at the appearance>widgets and you need to drag and drop it into your blog sidebar. The approved links are going to be listed in a separated page, you can see it life at my blog, the Community Links Feed page.

The plugin is created by CSSJokey and you can download the Community Links Feed from their site or download from the Wordpress Plugins Library.

You can customize the Community Links Feed widget from the plugin settings page in Dashboard where you can:

  • Change the widget heading
  • Change the length of link title or description
  • Change the widget description
  • Choose whether to include rel=”nofollow” in community feed links submitted by visitors

Very easy to instal the plugin

  • Upload cj-community-links folder to your /wp-content/plugins.
  • Activate the plugin from the ‘Plugins’ page at the admin dashboard.
  • Add the widget to your sidebar from Appearance->Widgets.
  • Configure the widget from Settings->Community Links.
